Have you ever wondered how the whole Bible fits together? Have you ever been confused by the Old Testament? Or have you ever pondered if there is more to learn about God than what you learnt at Sunday School?
If you are at the stage where you would like to explore more about what the Bible says from beginning to end, then perhaps the Moore College Course is for you. It is a course that takes an overview of the whole Bible, tracing the big themes of God's great plan of rescue from the creation of the world to its final conclusion in the future.
It is for anyone who is interested in deepening their understanding of the Bible's message. It is ideal for someone who knows about different bits of the Bible, but would like to see how it all pieces together. It doesn't matter if you're new to the Christian faith or have been a Christian for many years, you will still gain a great deal from it.
Each member of the course receives a helpful handbook to work through and we meet as a group once a fortnight over two terms, usually on a Tuesday evening, to study a chapter of the book. The evenings consist of a presentation and discussion guided by the group leader.
You pay £28 to enrol on the course, which gives you the handbook, and the opportunity to have an exam marked and a certificate awarded at the end if you wish! (the exam is entirely optional, but can help to focus the mind on the topics covered) There are ten sessions in all over the two terms, with a few hours homework to do in between each session.
Call the Church Office or better still, find someone who has done the course and get them to tell you how they found it. Over 100 people in the church have done it at one time or another, and some people have gone on to do the next few units and have become Moore Addicts! If you would like to consider joining in with this contact Roger Peart (01202 840372) for more details.
